We are looking for a skilled and passionate iOS Engineer to join our mobile development team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing our iOS applications. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop features that improve user engagement and satisfaction. Being a iOS Engineer at Mercadona Tech

Our Mobile Team is in charge of all the native iOS and Android apps that are necessary for our "Jefes" (customers) to make their online purchases as well as the logistics processes that require it. In the online store you will work at scale so that thousands of daily users can make their purchases.

• Bringing major changes to production + Feature Flagging
• E2E testing and implementation

About You

As a Product Engineer in our dynamic e-commerce project, we seek an individual with a unique blend of technical expertise, creativity, and a deep understanding of the e-commerce and logistics landscape. As the ideal candidate, you are passionate about clean code, feedback loops, and Extreme Programming, but if you never put it into practice - don't worry. We will show you the way!

What you already bring to the table

• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as an iOS Developer, with a strong portfolio of apps available on the App Store.
• Proficiency in Swift.
• Proven experience in different iOS Architectures.
• Deep understanding of iOS frameworks such as UIKit, Core Animation, Core Data, Core Graphics, and Core Location.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON to connect iOS applications to backend services.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs (e.g., Alamofire, Firebase).
• Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and app deployment processes.
• Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools like Instruments.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering excellent user experiences.
• Understanding how to deliver the best engineering solutions.

• Willingness to improve yourself and your team continuously.
